The union attends to grievances at work and resolves issues with management. This includes representation to the dispute settling machinery provided by law.

If you get into trouble at work, the union ensures that you are treated fairly. If you are called by management, your union will represent you so that you are not alone.

union welcomes new technology which improves productivity and makes jobs safer and easier. But unions also protect you from losing your job because of it. Therefore, the union puts YOUR interests first.

at national, regional and international levels to enable better understanding and awareness that you face as a worker and to include your concerns in national decisions-making and policy development. It takes every effort to gain economic, social and industrial democracy.

by lobbying for change in legislations so that you are adequately protected by law;  ensuring that your interests are safeguarded from changes in the working environment. The union also ensures ILO Conventions and Labour Legislations are adhered to.

Empower working women

by giving working women the power to advance, their rights are protected and respected at all levels and supported by legislation: ERP 2007-Maternity Protection, Policy on Sexual harassment and EEO.

Provide training opportunities

The union conducts local training programmes and workers education activities. Gain knowledge and skills on issues ranging from labour laws, trade unions, human rights, social protection, Climate Change, HIV AIDS, etc.
